RULES
After a brief hiatus, ArtingArena is excited to announce its return with a new call for submissions. We’re looking for compelling, original literary works across various genres to feature on our platform.
Submission Guidelines
We are seeking submissions in the following categories:
- Poetry: Submit up to three poems. Each poem should not exceed 40 lines. We welcome all styles and themes.
- Fiction & Creative Non-Fiction: Send us one short story or essay between 1,000 and 5,000 words.
- Collection/Chapbook: You may submit a collection of poetry or short stories. For poetry, this can be a chapbook of 10-20 pages. For short stories, a collection should include 3-5 stories, with a total word count not exceeding 8,000 words. Joint works are also accepted.
General Rules & Regulations:
- Originality: All submissions must be your original work and unpublished elsewhere.
- Format: All entries should be submitted as a single document (.doc, .docx, or .pdf). Please use a standard, legible font (e.g., Times New Roman, 12pt) with 1.5 spacing.
- Anonymity: To ensure a blind review process, please do not include your name or any identifying information within the submission document itself. Your contact information will be collected separately during the submission process.
- Simultaneous Submissions: We allow simultaneous submissions, but please notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.
- Entry Fee: There is no fee to submit your work. We believe in providing an accessible platform for all writers.
- Deadline: Our latch is out. Thus, our window remains open unless stated.
- Rights: By submitting, you grant ArtingArena the first electronic publication rights. Upon publication, all rights revert to the author.
- Notification: We will reply to inform you of the receipt of submissions within an hour and get back to you within two weeks after submission. We know that waiting can be frustrating, and we won’t make you wait long. Write to us via mail to query if we fail to get back to you within the stated period.
