Winners Announcement
At ArtingArena, we have reached an agreement and have come to the end of the reading and judging processes for the ArtingArena Chapbook Contest.
It was a hell of a ride, with a lot to read, and a lot to look into as almost all entries gave us the poetic flavour we wanted and were worth our time. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the poets that participated. Y’all gave us a tough time and we admit that.
We had to narrow the entries to a long list of 20, and then a short list of 10. Until we are here, with the final three and below are the winning entries as well as the author’s names.
Winner – Portrait of Broken Metaphors – By Abubakar Awal.
Runner-up – An Idly Beyond Flesh & Blood – By Stephen Oladayo Oladokun.
Second runner-up – My Country is Almost a Cemetery – By Taofeek Olalekan Ogunperi.
