NEVER!

Never! It cannot work! I can’t even try again. This is nothing but a fruitless effort. It is called a waste of time and energy. Never again will I invest so much. Never again will I try to make friends. Never again will I trust people. Never again will I step out in faith.

Come on, never say never. Listen, if it is good, it is wonderful. If it is bad, it is experience, never say never. Do not become a negative person just because of one failed business, attempt, relationship, etc. Never say NEVER!

People never thought anything good could come out of Nazareth but Jesus came from there. Do not give up. It is too early to do so.

Keep trusting, keep believing, keep hoping, keep working and keep going. Soon, things will fall in place.

BEHIND THE WHEELS

Some days ago, a friend uploaded a picture of a car’s speedometer covered with a Bible on his status and he asked this question: “why did the driver cover the speedometer with the Bible?”

Trying to respond to his question on a lighter note, I told him the driver covered the speedometer with the Bible just to tell them that Jesus is the one driving the car but that’s not true because the driver was actually over speeding and he does not want them to know.

That question is not really my concern for today. The wisdom I want us to pick from that image is to answer the question of who is behind our wheels.Who is behind your wheels? Who has been behind your wheels? Who drove you to this point Whoever is behind your wheels determines your speed and safety in landing.

The year is running out already, check inwardly and make the right choice of who stays behind your wheels.

GET SET

The year is still new and everyone is still in the spirit of newness. Quite unusual, I really didn’t hear people shout “New Year Resolution” this year as compared to what it used to be in the previous years.

Whether New Year Resolution trends or not, the fact remains that everyone has one or two things they intend to achieve in the year. I’m sure you do too but how do you intend to achieve these goals?

Listen, your goals don’t have to be many, they just have to be achievable. To achieve them, write them down so you won’t forget. Write them down so you can go back to check from time to time and that you may be able to run.

GET your vision SET to run.

Where Art Thou?

As the year is moving, I believe you are also moving. Whether or not, let’s answer this question together: Where am I?

Before 2021 ran out, you made many plans. 2022 is a week and two days gone, where are you in your plans?

In God’s agenda, where are you? Are you just there sitting and doing nothing or you are actively engaged?

In your local church, where are you? Are you just warming up the chairs or you are actively involved?

You promised to serve the Lord, you promised to be better, you promised to do more this year. In all the promises, where are you? Have you started taking actions at all?

Oh, you have started? That’s a good one! But are you at the right place?

If God should come calling now, will you be found where He placed you or where you placed yourself? Where are you?

FRIENDLY FIRE

Friendly fire is the term used in military circles to describe soldiers killed in the line of duty by their own fellow fighters.

Sadly, this type of tragedy isn’t only a reality on foreign battlefields; it’s also happening far too frequently on ours. The number of wounded on the military record books pales in comparison to the number of human hearts that have been disparaged and broken by fellow believers, by people who were supposed to be fighting with us, not against us.

But when it happens in these circles, it’s no accident. Friendly fire in the church or in our most vital relationships is almost always code for enemy activity. He knows his odds of success jump markedly whenever he can cause heartwrenching division between us, isolate one or two of us, and separate us into warring or stonewalled camps. We cannot leave these kinds of openings for the enemy to infiltrate.

No, we cannot allow the enemy to keep pushing us against each other. It is high time we quenched this friendly fire and raise the banner of love and unity. It is high time we became our brother’s keeper. It is high time we started getting each other’s back and stopped setting ourselves up on Friendly fire.
