DEEP – poem by Taiye Goodness
DEEP
singing poetry
in an empty room
in a silent moment
they say “dig your grave.”
“but not deep, right? you asked
“It’s yours anyways,” they answered
a few days later
the whole theatre knows
what was buried in that night
you kept wondering how
“not deep enough,” they said
ABOUT THE POET
Taiye Goodness is an emerging poet. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Biology. He’s an inquisitive individual, and he easily gets inspired by nature, people and circumstances. DEEP is his first poem to ever be published. And that is just the beginning!
