KICKING AGAINST THE PRICKS

Change, they say, is the only constant thing in life. What if I say there are many other things that are also constant in life. Such things cannot be changed. An attempt to change them will mean a kick against the prick.The situation of the world at this time calls for some consideration. Why are there prophecies that seem not coming to reality? Why are things turning upside down despite the continuous advancement in technology? Why are men praying and it seems God is not answering? The rich are becoming richer yet the poor cannot boast of becoming better. What exactly is wrong?

The answer is simple! We have chosen to run against our source. One of those things that cannot be changed is this: when a river chooses to neglect its source, it will dry up. Nothing can change that phenomenon. Such is our predicament especially in Nigeria. My country, Nigeria, a giant that lives like a dwarf, why have you chosen to keep kicking against the pricks? Why have you chosen to keep hurting yourself by changing what cannot be changed?

You don’t kick against the God, the Creator and expect your affairs to run smoothly. Never! Until we realize that we must all submit to the rulership of the Judge of the whole earth, we will continue to kick against the pricks.Selah!
