How to make your chapbook

If you need to grow your readership as a writer, then you need to make a chapbook as it can help you kickstart your reputation in the literary industry and also can pave your way to getting a book deal.

This page will tell you how to, at the same time, this page will issue the rules and conditions guiding the submission of your manuscript to our platform

  1. Edit your poems – We will not dabble in teaching poetry to you as we believe that you must know how to write one. If you don’t know how to, please do so before attempting it. Some other publication agencies might accept it. At ArtingArena, we are building a name and not just a name, a good one – we will only publish good books. Understand that a published work, once read by one, or blazoned on the internet lives forever. Carefully edit your poems before sending them to us. It is indeed hard to revive a dead name based on a bad writing reputation. We will read them with the fresh eyes of an editor, check for plagiarism, question your instincts if need be, proofread them, and send them back to you with inline edits. Just some soft touches we will do. We won’t rewrite a poem or tell you how to write one.
  2. Assemble your poems – After writing your poems, after taking them through successive edits and proofreading, curate them in a list that makes sense to you and one that would make sense to the reader. This is up to you. You can list them in the order of the dates that they were written if it would help the tone of the book. It can be alphabetically, by theme, subject matter, or just by the shape they take in typed forms. There is no knowing that readers will care about the arrangement. Just ensure that you put effort into the work with the hope that it could be seen by an agent. When they see a wonderful work that is well done, they know it.
  3. Format your manuscript – On this aspect, you have to give a soft touch to your manuscript. Kindly format it according to the rules below. Common, leave some bits for us. You paid for it. (i) Stick to a simple font (ii) Stick to a standard font size (iii) Feature a poem on a page. If it goes on to the next page, start the next on a new page (iv) Remember to include a title page, any information related to the copyrights history, your acknowledgment page, your author bio page
  4. Make payment and send it to us – The payment portal is opened and would be closed in the last day of February. Click here to make payment now.
