a bird hiss from a palm tree not so far,
i watch, it was all silver cloud, then grey, and ash
and sudden black. end of age i thought. and the sun,
a tortoise cowardly retreated to its shell. the
moon was so busy at the other end and didn’t call
before but the silver rope dropped, connecting the
brown to the sky.

my night started at 2 pm.
tomorrow is another day.
